About me
My name is Shane Smidt; as a graphic designer I have conducted design projects, Varying across various digital media and have experience in merging traditional designing techniques with digital media, creating a link between the old and the new.
I developed various methods of introducing unique experiences in various graphic media by changing and altering the users perspective. I have used the potential in the use of modern technology in digital media, to improve and simplify the lives of people through mobile devices, applications; QR accessed websites and augmented reality.
I look forward to pursuing more methods of altering peoples perception and improving their interaction with designs.
Past experience
I am graphic designer that has recentyly graduated from a graphics course at Anglia Ruskin University. I have experience in photography and image manipulation, which included the design of CD covers and image based fruit defect references for MMUK.I have designed typography in both revival and creating new typeface for graphic promotional use. In terms of typographic design I have experience in both book and spread sheet designs, that focused on the graphic layout between image and typographic information

Recent Activities
Business Mentoring Program
To further my experience and knowledge of real life applications of design, I further developed the business applications of my designs. My design potencial allowed me to join a mentoring programe specialised in the bussiness aspects of graphic design and how they effect the consumer market.

I have displayed my WAY Guidance System in a local Degree show based at Anglia Ruskin University.
